St. Joseph Catholic School exists as a ministry of St. Joseph Catholic Church for evangelization and faith formation. Our students are enriched in our Catholic identity in the following ways:
Each day at St. Joseph Catholic School begins with prayer and religious studies. From church history, to theology, to scripture studies, each St. Joseph student begins the day by being steeped in the gift of the Catholic faith. By engaging in these teachings, St. Joseph students are challenged to live their faith outside of their churches and schools.
Our teachers diligently prepare students who are at the age of completing their Sacraments of Initiation and the Sacrament of Reconciliation. Our children are well prepared to participate in this vital life of the church, not least because they encounter it every day.
Just as discipleship is not merely an academic exercise, so faith formation at St. Joseph is not limited to the classroom. Each St. Joseph student participates in service projects throughout the school year both within the church and civically. From visits to nursing homes, to working in the Adopt-a-Highway program, to donations for the Nurturing Center, St. Joseph students come to know the essential component of Christian spirituality that lives in showing the merciful love of the Father to the least among us.
